DMI is a leading European developer and producer of remote sensing products, including Sea Surface Temperature (SST) and Ice Surface Temperature (IST) products for the high latitudes. The satellite based products are critical for understanding the effects of climate change and are important inputs to weather and ocean models. - Develop, maintain and validate a satellite based global L4 SST reanalysis within the C3S project.
- Analyse the Climate data set to assess the climatic changes in global and high latitude SST and ISTs
- Participate in the development and validation of satellite SST/IST products in the high latitudes within the Copernicus Marine Service project.
- Present results at scientific conferences and publish the results in peer-reviewed journals.
- PhD degree in geophysics, engineering or similar within the field of remote sensing
- Experience with satellite SST and IST products
- Experience with generating Level 4 products.
- Advanced programming skills in e.g. Fortran, Python or Matlab.

We have a strong international profile, which is also reflected in the many nationalities employed and in a combined English and Danish working language.
Employment Employment and salary will be according to the Danish Law and Agreements, depending on previous experience. It will be possible to apply for an addition to the basic salary.
