To support our work, we are looking for a new Partnership Manager to join our team with a strong sense of structure and discipline in project management and, ideally, experience in managing multi-stakeholder partnerships.

The position is placed in UNICEF Denmark's Partnership Department. The partnership team is a multinational team of enthusiastic specialists in strategic relationship building, programme management, communication, and advocacy. As a partnership manager, you will work alongside colleagues in UNICEF Denmark and a broad range of international UNICEF colleagues in Geneva, New York, and country offices in Sub-Saharan Africa and other geographies, focusing on creating synergies in partnership engagements, enhancing knowledge sharing, and supporting the development of new opportunities within the partnership.
As a Partnership Manager, you will, in close collaboration with international colleagues and the Partnership leadership group and team in UNICEF Denmark, fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Provide best-in-class partnership management.
- Manage the daily dialogue with the partners and prepare and lead partnership meetings and engagements with UNICEFs global system.
- Prepare and facilitate high-level dialogues with senior stakeholders, such as bilateral meetings and speaking opportunities at events.
- Collaborate closely with UNICEF's HQ, Regional Offices, and Country Offices to explore, develop, and help bring to fruition collaboration opportunities and liaise and manage additional opportunities in relation to the overall strategic direction and partnership parameters.
- Arrange and coordinate field visits and high-level meetings.
- Ensure that the partnership is monitored and evaluated so that the set objectives and deliverables are met, incl. coordinating and preparing timely reporting to the partners.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the partnership department, focusing on creating synergies in partnership engagements and knowledge sharing.
- Help steer UNICEF's developing program agenda with partners and seek to strengthen engagement opportunities.
The ideal candidate for the position has the following profile:
- Strong desire for teamwork, collaboration, and being part of an ambitious team.
- Solid experience with international and multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaboration with stakeholders at the highest corporate level.
- Demonstrable experience with program collaboration, including program formulation and budget, preferably within or in collaboration with the UN system.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ambitious, result-oriented with the ability to independently lead and run a business area and execute effective strategic planning, development, and project monitoring.
- Ability to create coherence between the strategic level and day-to-day activities.
- Analytically strong and a good communicator of complex material.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken. Some level of Danish would be preferable but is not a requirement.
- Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.

As a Partnership Manager, you will become part of a dynamic organization and work alongside more than 100 colleagues in UNICEF Denmark, as well as a broad range of international UNICEF colleagues in Geneva, New York, and Country offices around the world. You must know that our office language is Danish. But we have a small international group who doesn’t speak the language. In our team, the language will be in English, and your Danish colleague is used to help with translation for our international colleagues.
The position is 37 hours per week, including lunch break. UNICEF Denmark values a healthy work-life balance for all employees, and the position includes an opportunity for partial working-from-home arrangements based on agreement with the manager.
Salary and terms of employment are by agreement and are made on Danish terms. Travel activities to implementing UNICEF Country Offices, as well as UNICEF Headquarters in Geneva and New York, must be expected.
